The home of Uncommon Sense: Providing Clarity, Promoting Intelligence

Welcome

The leaves are changing. Halloween is approaching. We are inching our way ever closer to the end of this year and the start of a new one.

But while the whole world may be in commotion with chaos and strifes, with inconsistencies and interruptions, one thing that will remain consistent so long as I am alive is another dose of Uncommon Sense.

What advice might you give your younger self? The Self-Development column answers that question from my perspective.

The Elephant in The Room column shines an unfortunate light on a terrible and horrific crime that took place in New York recently. The crime itself was bad enough – about as bad as it gets. But there are some ancillary details about this crime that are also truly shocking and disappointing. Read it.

The From Ara’s Journal column takes a bit of a lighter note and explores a rather interesting irony.

And The World of Words column does it yet again. A wonderfully learned word awaits you.

OK, let’s get started.
