The home of Uncommon Sense: Providing Clarity, Promoting Intelligence

Welcome

Welcome to another infusion of Uncommon Sense!

In the Self-Development column, I will give you a sure-fire way of overcoming lethargy. Read it, apply it, and then watch the results accumulate.

There is something very dark taking place in Western Civilization, one that will cause future historians 200 years from now to look back on our day with shock and amazement. I am speaking of this strange aberration involving the Transgender craze. A lot of people have strong opinions about this craze – and it is a “craze,” in more ways than one. Many a friendship has been lost over the matter. But almost no one understands the origins of this movement, nor do many people truly understand the horrors that are inflicted on those people who have been hoodwinked into undergoing actual surgeries which permanently mutilate their bodies. Christopher Rufo is perhaps the most informed individual on this and related matters. He gave a groundbreaking speech recently to Hillsdale College on the topic “Inside the Transgender Empire” (and republished in Imprimis) where he deftly spells out the issues in a way that enlightens and informs. I will be presenting his remarks in 5 parts in The Elephant in the Room column (over the this and the next four issues of Uncommon Sense). Trust me, you will be enlightened and informed, and perhaps horrified.

I often hear various pundits use the phrase “speak your truth” or “she spoke her truth.” Something needs to be said about that construct, and I do so in the From Ara’s Journal column.

Want to sound smarter in the way you communicate with others? The World of Words column has just the thing you need.

OK, let’s get started.
