The Internet’s Delete Button Has a Back Door

Website: https://www.removeddit.com/
Purpose: To view deleted Reddit posts and comments — even after they’ve vanished.

What It Does

Sometimes, people see a thread on Reddit — perhaps about health, relationships, current events, or advice — and when they return later, that crucial post or comment has vanished. Removeddit allows users to view deleted or removed content by simply replacing “reddit.com” in the URL with “removeddit.com”.

Example

If this was the original Reddit link:

Change it to:

And voilà — the deleted content often reappears.

Why It’s Valuable

You may find this resource useful for:

  • Research (seeing full discussions on social topics)
  • Moral & ethical debate (studying removed opinions)
  • Online trends & cultural shifts
  • Studying moderation & censorship patterns
  • Recovering advice they saw once—but disappeared
