The home of Uncommon Sense: Providing Clarity, Promoting Intelligence

Welcome

Uncommon Sense Issue #345 is ready for you to feast on! I can’t tell you how proud I am of this particular issue!

You definitely want to carefully absorb the Self-Development column! Therein I write a fairly provocative piece about the latest craze everyone is talking about and utilizing – Artificial Intelligence. You need to confront some issues before they confront you.

In Issue 344, The Elephant in the Room column gave you Part 1 of a 3-Part debate I had recently with a fellow who does not approve of some of President Trump’s actions in trying to bring order to the chaos taking place in one of our largest cities. In the current issue, I present you Part 2 of 3. I think you’ll find it interesting.

In the From Ara’s Journal column, I do something I’ve never done before ever since I launched Uncommon Sense back in 2011 – the From Ara’s Journal column will be the From Rodnina’s Journal column. Rodnina Halgren is a Swedish entrepreneur of some unusual gifts. Currently residing in California, Rodnina runs an online business called Bozz Queen, an activewear operation aimed at women and empowerment. She is also busy launching her next venture, Lucia Hope, a planned large-scale sanctuary aimed at helping struggling women, children, and families with a wide array of services (housing, employment, skill development, trauma recovery, food, etc.)

I read a journal-like essay Rodnina penned and I realized I simply had to reprint it, which I do here with her permission. If you are looking for some depth, you’ve come to the right place. Rodnina is one of the most profound thinkers I’ve encountered.

The World of Words column does its thing, serving up yet another gem of a word from our vast English lexicon. I urge you to add it to your working vocabulary. You won’t regret it.

OK, let’s get started.
