Here’s a thought: Donald Trump was the most maligned person in politics ever since he announced his intent to run for high office on June 16, 2015. People lied about him, people deliberately tried to ruin his life, the media ganged up on him, people wanted him dead. It would be wholly understandable if Trump sought revenge on various persons or entities that treated him unfairly. And sure enough, Trump has discontinued providing Secret Service protection for General Mark Milley and former National Security Advisor John Bolton. But apart from that, Trump hasn’t seem fixated on such matters.
Instead, now that Trump is back in the White House, he seems to be “getting his revenge” by making America great again. There is a new, bold zeitgeist that is palpable; people are waking up to the fraud this is DEI, the Green New Deal, BLM, Antifa, the Trans-Lunacy movement, the crazed environmentalists, the fraud that is Global Warming (not that temperatures are not warming at all, but that the supposed existential threat that is supposed to make the planet uninhabitable is Kabuki Theater). Greta Thunberg and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez look imbecilic. The “ladies” on The View look catty and bitter. Conservative Americans who used to be silent are standing up boldly and are no longer afraid of the radicals on the Left.
And President Trump is in rare form: not only is he selecting people for his cabinet that appear to be serious contributors, but he is vigorously pursuing his campaign promises, particularly with respect to the porous border that was the work of the sheer incompetence in some cases and dark malfeasance in other places of the Biden Administration. Border Czar Tom Homan isn’t messing around; criminal illegal aliens (excuse the redundancy) are getting rounded up, and Trump just announced that 30,000 of them will soon be incarcerated at Gitmo. (As I write this very line, I see that in New York City, almost a dozen deranged monsters from the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua have been rounded up this week and will soon be shipped out, leaving New York City slightly safer).
Trump recently announced we are going to add to our national security with an Iron Dome similar to what Israel has only more modern and more capable.
Yet, in spite of Trump’s obvious momentum to make our country great again, we still have the naysayers such as Trump-hater Jim Acosta (who just got shown the door at CNN), pop star Madonna, whose love of Sodom and Gomorrah is bringing her involuntary hot flashes, and a bevy of Facebook renegades who are pouting that Mark Zuckerberg removed the tampons from the men’s bathrooms – as if men can menstruate. We appreciate their entertainment as they continue to sink ever deeper into irrelevance.
So feel the optimism. We have a new White House Press Secretary who is young, intelligent, and not tied to a massive binder to locate her talking points – a refreshing change. (She also doesn’t say things like, “As I’ve said for many months now, . . .” or “You will have to go ask that question to the State Department”) Karoline Leavitt is a refreshing upgrade from what we’ve had to endure the last four years. Great things are happening. Mistakes will be made from time to time, but Donald Trump has the reins and is not letting go any time soon.
And that, my friends, is the latest elephant in the room.
