People who know me know that I do not belong to a political party. I am not a Democrat. And I am not a Republican. My view of political parties is that while they can, in theory, do some good, they inevitably do more harm than good.

Political parties go through different phases at different times in their history. Sometimes they seem to be in command and at a distinct advantage over their hapless counterparts in the opposing party. Other times they are more evenly matched. Occasionally they perform admirably in a bi-partisan way. Sadly, much of the time, they are at each others’ throats.

At the present time, the Republicans, led by Donald Trump, are dominant and have the momentum.

The Democrats, however, seem to be imploding in ways I’ve never seen in my lifetime. They seem to have reached an all-time low.

Not only were the Democrats on the receiving end of a sound shellacking with the 2024 Presidential Election, where Donald Trump and the American voters practically humiliated Kamala Harris, but it’s just gone downhill from there.

In no way am I gloating. While I believe recent Democrat embracing of far-Left ideology is both peculiar and foolish, as a non-partisan Independent, I am not gleeful for the Democratic party’s implosion. But they are acting like jack-asses, which, given their mascot, seems fitting. For example:

• The recent speech to both chambers of Congress by President Trump on March 4th demonstrated a level of loathsomeness displayed by the Democrats that I could not believe took place. The Dems never once stood and applauded – not once! You mean to tell me that the Dems couldn’t put aside their partisan hatred of Donald Trump on any single issue and show their support for even one accomplishment? Not one? Not even DJ Daniel, the 13-year-old boy suffering from brain cancer whom President Trump made an honorary member of the Secret Service? Even that didn’t move the Democrats? What about the families of murder victims Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray, both of whom were tortured and murdered by illegal alien monsters whom Joe Biden let into the country? Democrats were not moved by their stories? They sat on their hands and gave a stony, blank stare of disdain aimed at Donald Trump? They felt no sympathy? What about Mr. Corey Comperatore, who was killed by the sniper in Butler, Pennsylvania who was trying to assassinate then-candidate Donald Trump at a rally? No Democrat could bring himself or herself to stand in respect for Mr Comperatore? Not one?
• And there were several others being honored and acknowledged that evening. Not a single Dem could show appreciation, respect, or even acknowledgment. . . Shameful.
• And what about those “Bingo Signs” the Dems brought with them to aid them in their moments of protest? The signs included messages such as “False,” “Musk steals” and things like that. What has Musk stolen? The cloak of secrecy involving corruption and foolishness in wasteful government spending? Why would Musk steal? Does he perhaps need the money? And under Musk’s leadership, DOGE recently discovered that we the taxpayers were being bilked by the Pre-Trump Federal Government which paid for 11,020 Adobe Acrobat licenses that were being used by exactly zero government employees. Adobe Acrobat licenses can cost as much as $449. If that is the license in question, then someone in the federal government blew about $5 million – for nothing! So is Musk the one stealing??? (I might hasten to add that when Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, was asked what she might say to Elon Musk if she could tell him anything, she replied: “F*ck off!” Classy. . .)
• But such silly shenanigans were just the beginning. A Tik-Tok video titled “Choose Your Fighter” was released soon after Trump’s speech. In it, various Democrat women, including AOC, got in front of a camera and tried to mimic fighters, throwing punches, bouncing around as if they were amateur boxers, and acting like deranged hooligans.
• Here’s another example: On March 3rd, just a few days ago, every single Democrat Senator voted against a recent bill (the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act) that would prevent men from competing in women’s sports. Every single Democrat senator.

The Democrat Party is in such mystifying disarray, that even Democrat Party die-hards are turning on their own party. Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., accused his own party of “a sad cavalcade of self owns and unhinged petulance.” James Carville described Democrat behavior at Trump’s speech as “foolishness.” And even Jimmy Kimmel mocked the “Choose Your Fighter” video, stating on his late night TV show, “What is that supposed to do besides embarrass everyone involved with it?”

Might the Dems wise up and turn things around, leaving behind their love-affair with wokism? Evidently not. The DNC just hired as their new Executive Director Roger Lau, a man for whom radicalized Leftism is a religion, a way of life. They’ve learned absolutely nothing.

And that, my friends, is the latest elephant in the room.
