Welcome back to another exciting rendition of Uncommon Sense. I’ve got a lot in store for my growing body of readers so let’s see what Issue 334 has for you.
We hear a lot about EQ, or Emotional Intelligence. And there’s something to the power of EQ. It may well carry more weight than mere IQ. The Self-Development column has a few thoughts to share on that topic you may find very useful. Check it out.
The Elephant in the Room column addresses some very big news of recent vintage – the bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities. What I am interested in highlighting here is more of the same that I have highlighted so often – how Conservative American Patriots and Left-Wing Radicals can view the very same facts so very differently. A must-read!
Most of us have some pronounced reactions to spiders. While most spiders are harmless, I use this From Ara’s Journal column to list my Top Four candidates for the most dangerous spiders out there. My Top Four may not be shared by all arachnologists, but I feel pretty safe in saying that my list merits consideration. Take a look at what I have to say on the subject, and try not to get too squeamish.
Finally, The World of Words column once again delivers on a gem from our rich and diverse English language, in this case borrowing from the German tongue. This is a great word to use in the proper contexts and I hope you will avail yourself to this word, as you continue to enhance your power of expression.
OK, let’s get started.
